After more than 18 years working for multinationals in the ICT industry in different countries from China to Central Europe, the Nordics and the UK, I’ve seen businesses grow across different markets, cultural environments and regulatory systems.
During my tenure as regional CEO of Huawei in the UK/Ireland and the Nordics, I constantly challenged myself on setting out the best strategy, building the strongest team and keeping it motivated, and driving efficiencies for the daily operations of the company. However, as a CEO, I found that devoting time to really understand and know your clients should be a top priority – it undoubtedly pays off. Having managed a three-business portfolio – Carrier, Consumer and Enterprise – I’ve had my leadership role exposed to both B2B (B2B2B) and B2C.
Prior to taking the CEO role, I led roles in sales and key account management which developed my passion for both business development and connecting people. Closing deals, bringing new business and sharing the rewards with the team are the drivers of my day-to-day activities.
Life is a journey; the mission of SILK Ventures appeared as an opportunity at the right time in my career as I decided to apply my executional and operational experience while contributing to growing the next generation of tomorrow’s global companies. The perfect storm created by the vision, strategy and the competency of the team determined me to embrace this mission.
