Zhongguancun Forum 2019

SILK Ventures Founder and Managing Partner Angelica Anton spoke for the second consecutive year at the Zhongguancun Forum which received a congratulatory letter from President Xi Jinping. Xi said that "China is willing to take an active part in global innovation cooperation, share development achievements with other countries and jointly build a community with a shared future for humanity."

The forum was first held in 2007 with a commitment to promote China’s advancements in technology innovation and, this year, it welcomed over one thousand business, financial and academic figures from 50+ countries. The event’s topics revolved around artificial intelligence, 5G, brain science, fintech, but also IP protection and cross-border cooperation, while an exhibition of state-of-the-art technologies was held in parallel.

The forum was co-organised by the Beijing Municipal People’s Government, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
